......the battle had been won, everyone was safe. Stiles lowered his bat, sensing the world around him beginning to spin. His bat acted like as support as he turned to see Derek exiting the dilapidated warehouse. "Derek, where you goin'" Stiles cried out before falling onto a large wooden crate. Derek turned slowly, his facial expression did not tell the tale, but his eyes, his eyes raged a deep sharp blue, pierced the teenager, sending a message of hatred, wrath and loss. Stiles found his strength and ran to Derek for much needed reassurance. Derek forcefully shoved the boy back, growling deeply. "Don't come near me again Stilinski, EVER!"
Stiles used his bat to help himself up. "Der, what the fuck, we won, no one got hurt, why are y?" Derek cut him off. "Your a week link, Stiles. You make me weak." With another word, Derek entered the night, turning his back on the boy who kept the wolf grounded, kept him safe.
Stiles fell against the wall, sliding down on a small box, doing something he swore he'd never do: cry. Strong winds carried his sobs across town........

Sometimes what appears to be one emotion is actually another. Seeing who Derek and Stiles are with each other in the upper right and by drawings end, Stiles in alone, his face vanishing from sight, almost flowing away with the blood on his bat. Derek is not there, for whatever reason, Stiles is left behind at battles end.
Before entering the Aztec Temple S4 E12, Stiles turned back to Derek twice, the concern written heavily on Stiles face. I hope in the coming seasons a non sexual relationship forms between the two protagonists. Once the sexual boundary is crossed, nothing can undo it and the mystique is lost.
