yup KrakΓ³w is where i live almost all my life.
It's a great city especially for young people. In summer(actually starting from may) there is lots of music or cinema festivals with all kinds of music. It's close to Cieszyn/Tesin - another place with big cinema festival.The city itself is beautiful, mixture of medieval/XIXc./1950 styles.It's quite similar to Prague, but smaller.
And of course a night life in KrakΓ³w is something worth mentioningThere are many many pubs, almost all the time full of people(well except the university exams time).
Lots of young people speak english so it's not hard to communicate.
So if you're looking for a place to visit during vacation or student exchange I guess it's a cool place
