Something seemed off when you woke up. The room you were in wasn't yours and the person waiting for you to awaken wasn't Matthew. You saw this person before though luckily. It was that shaggy-headed blond who was trying to strangle the long-haired one.

And those eyebrows...

"I see you're awake love..." The stranger said softly,"How are you feeling...?"

"Where's Matthew...?" You whimpered, tears quickly surfacing and spilling,"W-Where's my Matthew...!?"

You were lifted up to face the stranger, his green eyes staring coldly towards you and causing more tears to fall uncontrollably. "Love, calm down please...I-I'll take you back to Matthew..."

Sniffling a bit, you looked at the stranger,"Y-You know who m-my Matthew is...?"

"Canada?"

"T-That's my Matthew!" You exclaimed happily, tears still falling,"I-I wanna go home!"

"I-It's okay love...shh...how about I make some tea so you calm calm down while I call Matthew...?" The man suggested, carrying you to his kitchen and placing you on the table. Boiling some water, he left you alone, using the talky box (aka, the phone) to call Matthew.

It took a long while before the Englishman came back, finishing up the tea for you and placing it in between you and him,"It's okay __________, Matthew said he'd pick you up right away. It's okay to relax here until then."

"Where am I sir...?" You asked, taking a sip of the delicious brown liquid.

"You don't need to call me 'sir'. My name is Arthur and I represent the country of..."

"England...!" Matthew yelled (meaning a small whisper) towards his brother,"H-How did England find her...!? H-How did he get her back home before she woke up...!?"

"Mattie, I don't have all the answers! Chill dude, we'll just go get her." He said, trying to calm his brother down,"She's safe with England...you know that Matt. What's been up with you lately? You've been acting so weird."

"I-I'm a monster," Matthew chocked out before falling apart, crying into his hands,"I-I don't know w-what I am anymore Al...I-I...I just don't know..."

Alfred embraced his brother, giving him some comfort,"It's okay Mattie...I understand...but if you keep worrying about it, it'll dominate your life...don't think about it so much...it rarely happens."

Matthew nodded, leaning his head on his brother's shoulder,"I-I'm sorry...I've been so confused lately. A-A lot has been playing through my head..." Shifting a bit uncomfortably, he broke free of his brother's embrace. "I-I'm sorry..."

"There's nothing to be sorry for Mattie...we've all felt it; scared and unsure about what's hiding inside of us. Hell, I was flipping out when I found out...shit, I was scared outta my mind."

"W-What did you do...?"

"I thought about all my friends and family, you, Arthur, Francis, Yao-everybody who was ever important to me." A smile graced his lips,"If you let it get in the way, this thing will dominate your life. Everyone'll worry about you..."

Lowering his head slightly, Canada refused to let any more tears spill,"O-Okay..."

"Mattie, everyone knows your a soft-serve." Alfred laughed lightly, punching him playfully in the arm,"You wouldn't hurt a fly, even if you wanted to. So hows about we go to the airport, take your plane over to England and get _________ back? Maybe you'll feel better after that..."

"Y-Yea..." Both of the, got up and took a moment to calm down before Matthew grabbed his car keys and took off out the door, Alfred following right behind him.

Matthew nervously kneaded his fingers, Alfred driving the car in England. He had just gotten off the flight dragging hour by hour from under him. Already, he had to inform Alfred to drive on the left side of the road, luckily no one on it due to it being the middle of the night.

He just wanted to get back to you as soon as possible.

Back at England's house, you were uncomfortably tossing and turning. With no other place to sleep, you were on Arthur's pillow. But it felt weird not having Matthew in the room with you. Arthur was nice and all but to you, he was no Matthew to you. Maybe Arthur was lying about calling Matthew and he really wasn't coming.

The mere thought brought tears to your eyes, crying out silently. Not even Arthur could hear you. Getting yourself out of bed, you went to watch his magic black box (which, by the way is not black in his house) only to find all the channels were different.

It took a long time of flipping around before you found something you wanted to watch. Settling down on the comfortable love seat, you fell asleep in peace, knowing Matthew probably missed you as much as you missed him.

Not even ten minutes later, someone was pounding at the door, awakening you and Arthur. Arthur came out of his room grumbling in protest to whoever was banging at his door in the midst of his sleep.

The second he opened the door, he was caught off-guard as Alfred jumped on him, pinning him to the ground,"Artie! It's so good to see you again!" His voice exploded into the room,"I missed you so much!"

"G-Get off of me you git!" He ordered back, causing the American to lift off of him,"Thank you..."

Alfred spotted you and smiled, picking you up off the couch,"Hey _________, hows it hangin'?"

"M-Matthew...w-where's Matthew...?"

"He fell asleep in the car. Long trip over, you know?" Going over to you, he lifted you up in his hand and placed you on his shoulder. "I guess we'll be on our way again. I guess I'll see you at the next World Meeting then."

You waved towards him and smiled,"Thank you Mr. Arthur! It was nice to meet you."

He brushed his finger on your cheek,"Well, it was lovely to meet you __________. I'm sorry I made such a mess of things."

You stuck your tongue out a bit, smiling towards him,"It's okay Mr. Arthur. I might see you again soon."

"Just be careful with those cuts..." He said tiredly,"I'd like to see you in once piece next time."

With a few short farewells, Alfred carried you back to the car. Sure enough, Matthew was sitting beside Alfred, unconscious and sleeping peacefully. The second Alfred sat down, you made your way beside Matthew, dropping into his pocket and nestling close.

Shutting your eyes, you listened to his heart beat melodiously in his chest as Alfred drove on through the dark night. Before you could even stop it, you had fallen asleep, your fingers wrapped tightly on Matthew's shirt, not wanting to release.

Alfred drove on, seeing both of you sleeping peacefully from the corner of his eye. The airport was nearly empty when he arrived, the plane waiting patiently for them to arrive. Truthfully, it was nice having your own private jet since there was no hassle and he could easily get to and fro with ease. It was a luxury most countries were lucky enough to have.

Alfred got out of the car and went over to the side Matthew and you slept on, taking off his brother's seatbelt and lifting him bridal-style with ease. Getting onboard the plane, he sat him down, buckling him in and checking to make sure you weren't disturbed. Luckily, you were still sleeping peacefully in his pocket, your head relaxed on his chest and a smile on your face.

Taking it up into closer examination, he saw your body seemed beaten. You seemed perfectly okay when he saw you before the meeting began. Going back into the cockpit, he informed the two pilots that they were to go back home. Neither complained, just informed him to sit down and fasten his seatbelt as they taxied to the runway.

Going back, he took a seat beside Matthew and just stared at the two of you sleeping peacefully. As the plane took off, he removed his glasses and put them to the side before drifting off into sleep himself.

Opening his violet eyes, Matthew immediately realized a wasn't in the car. Last he remembered, he was drifting asleep in the car. Alfred couldn't have forgotten why they came here, could he have?

Feeling an odd lightweight in his pocket, he looked to see you sleeping peacefully. As much as it pained him to do so, he lifted you up and prodded at your side until you arose.

Blinking your tired (e/c) orbs in confusion, you realized that it was Matthew holding you. Snuggling close to him, you buried your face,"I-I'm sorry Mattie...I-I didn't mean to run away...I-"

Before you could say anymore, you were being hugged,"I'm so glad you're okay...I've been worried sick...I-I thought that cat might've gotten you...I-I thought I lost you...I'm so sorry that I left you alone...I-I shouldn't have..."

"Mattie...don't cry...I'm okay..."

"You got hurt again..." He whispered, bringing you to his cheek,"I'm sorry..."

Rather than hugging his cheek as you normally would, you leaned yours against his. "I-I'll heal...i-if I didn't bite the cat, it would've eaten me...I-I was being careless. It's my fault Mattie..."

"But I was the one to let you run around...I-I shouldn't have...I ruined your nice shirt and I got you hurt..." He went to kiss your forehead when you decided enough was enough. Rather than lowering your head, you raised it up to peck his lips. Matthew's body got really tensed when you did, shock obliviously filling his eyes.

Pulling away, you smiled,"You're my Matthew...I love you...I can't be mad at you...a-and I'm still alive, right...?" He nodded and you rested your head against his shoulder,"Mattie...I know you're not mean...you saved me a-and fed me and kept me warm and safe...even if you did do it...it was an accident..."

He smiled slightly, slipping you back into his pocket as you yawned sleepily,"Thank you..." Matthew breathed in content as he fell under sleep's spell,"For everything..."
