Description
A croivern, a very dangerous bird native to the islands had attacked the red cat. It must have seen her waving the fish around and tried its luck at snatching, which it almost successfully did but Gyako managed to swipe it from its beak.

Gyako knew all about these birds. They are rather large in comparison to a normal dragon cat. Their beaks sharpen to a point to be able to rip flesh as well as being lined with razor sharp teeth. It's wings, a glossy black have bone exposed at the tips modified in a way to act like knives. They are very formidable flyers and deady in a dive where they use their speed to brush against a target in hopes to cut them open. Overall a very deady bird not to be taken lightly.

Gyako knew that he was in for a fight. The croivern shrieked and began to dive on him, but Gyako was quite a nimble cat and dodged at the last second. As the croivern passed him he grabbed onto its tail as it went skyward. The bird as it tried to shake Gyako off, flapping its wings frantically which caused Gyako to drop his fish. Gyako, held on though, and with a calculated manuever he pulled himself infront of the bird and gave it a few heavy gashes in its neck with his claws.

The roivern fell to the ground with a "Thump" as Gyako gracefully landed on all fours and regained his composure. The croivern on the ground was still alive but with the injuries it sustained would not be able to fight. Gyako was about to start celebrating this great feat when he heard more shrieking coming from above him. Antother thing about croiverns is that they never fly alone.

Two more were circling very high and were probably looking to avenge their fallen comrade. On began it's dive and unlike the first one the height advantage would help it speed up to over 290kmph (180mph) which Gyako may not easily avoid. However, Gyako knew what to do. He got into a defensive position and took a deep breath. His eyes turned and bright orange and just before the croivern got to close he spat a large fireball towards the croivern. The croivern didn't see it coming and the fireball exploded on it's body. It's smoldering remains fell to the ground.

Gyako looked up to locate the other croivern and did, but it was in no rush to come down and have a scrap. It was actually flying away! It probably didn't want to end up like the other two and wanted to live another day.

Well with all that action finally over Gyako brushed himself off, did a bit of grooming and regrouped with the other cats.

"That was amazing..." Zonos said in a very unconvincing flat tone.

"Yeah, but you could have helped a little y'know," Gyako replied a little pissed off.

"... Sorry..."

"Yeah, umm, thanks for that," said the red cat coming out from behind the bushes holding the fish that Gyako dropped while in the air, "I guess, I owe you one."

"So you're gonna give us the fish right? Gyako asked.

The cat looked up with a devilish smile on her face, "I mean, I could buuuut you agreed to "try" and take it from me, soooooooooooo," and then she scrampered off into the nearby forest.

"Oh you got to be kidding me" Gyako sighed as he chased after her.

"I'll stay here..." Zonos said.
