Did you watch the Tower of Heaven arc? What happens in the end and after the events doesn't matter. Jellal willing gave into an evil force and caused massive trauma that she still suffers nightmares over even in the most recent arc. Anyone who causes trauma I am pretty sure doesn't deserve a second chance and to overlook such a thing is terrible. It's enabling abuse.

Yes, I did. You obviously haven't watched the whole series, and I don't want to spoil, but later in the series, it'll get explained. Jellal is not evil.

Whether or not he is evil, his actions are unforgivable and he still abused Erza and that much cannot be denied. Likewise Jellal is certainly one of the more evil characters, as you must consider the moment he turned to evil. He was duped by a false power acting as Zeref when he was on his way to freedom and a much happier life. No mystical force was seducing him or anything of the kind. Jellal saw a chance for complete power, to continue the slavery he and the others were forced into, and he said yes. I know the whole series as it is right now.

You're telling me you saw the whole series? At least up to episode 160?

I don't remember which episode, but waaay after The Tower of Heaven, Ultear literally said she was the one who manipulated him, playing the part of "Zeref's ghost." After all that crap, Jellal goes around helping the world to atone for his sins.

I am past 160 and that still doesn't help his case. Just because Ultear played it or if there was a real power, you know he gave into it. He gave into a desire for power, not even because he thought about helping people. He gave into this and traumatized Erza. What is so hard to understand? Jellal literally gave himself to evil and the only reason he has provided any help at all is because of amnesia and even then he still abused Erza and straight up murdered the magical council and Lahar. Don't tolerate abuse dude.

I don't think it was really him, because after he remembered, he starts crying. He DID try to atone for his sins.
Anyways, Erza still loves him. Best part was the kiss scene.

He wasn't possessed. That is the thing also! Ultear did it. Ultear has no magic over possession whatsoever! That was all fucking him because he thought he could obtain true power thanks to a farce. By god, is causing trauma not abuse to you!? The kiss between her and Jellal is one of the worst parts. Jellal is literally the worst part of Fairy Tail because that man doesn't deserve anything. I am done with this, you are attracted to him so you overlook the terrible things he did.

I'm guessing your not the forgiving type then judging by your stance on this matter... 

There's a lot of people that do terrible things in their pasts, but does that mean they're totally evil? No.

Flawed, being human, that's the better way of putting it I'd say. Don't forget the bad things he did, but don't just overlook the good things he does either just because of the terrible things and therefore does not deserve forgiveness in your view. That's a narrow way of looking at it.

If you can't believe in redemption, in people who did bad things and wish to do good seek forgiveness for what they did, then that is a great shame. There is no greater way of showing strength in character, then seeking redemption, and granting forgiveness. Pity you can't show such strength, for in not willing to grant forgiveness no matter how hard one tries to redeem one's self, your showing less strength in character then Jellal ironically enough.

But I digress, I just couldn't be silent upon reading this, people who just stubbornly won't grant forgiveness no matter how hard a person tries to redeem themselves. A flaw in a portion of humanity I long to see cease.

Oh, and you are not looking at the things he is trying to do after. He is trying to atone. A mistake is a mistake, but you can make up for it. He is not entirely evil !
