She's a stowaway on board the main character's ship. Originally she'd just snuck aboard to steal ice cream, but now she's found herself stuck with the crew, posing as a little girl, as her species, the Snaffet, is loathed far and wide for being pests.

I highly reccommend the comic! You'll laugh, you'll cry, you'll get really hungry for ice cream.
