For the sketch, draw lightly, otherwise you can't erase it after the ink.
Ink with a thin pen and build it up.
I used watercolor pencils, so first off, use a dry pencil and lightly color.
Shade a little bit with the same pencil by pressing harder. Using a darker version of that color, build up the colors. Use a damp brush to even out the coloring and after it's dry, build up color again to satisfaction and then blend with water again. Applying water to the pencil nib makes a dark version of the color.
