Once the two policewomen have been sorted out, Lady Chameleon is ready to implement her plan.
In order to steal the jewels from the International Precious Exhibition, she must use the ventilation duct. This duct starts from the first floor, where an office is located, where the two beautiful and young journalists, Shirley Collins and Goldie Smith,work as experts in the gossip section, of the newspaper "International lies and scandals".

Disguised as a policewoman Lady Chameleon aims to be able to make a fake search of the office, to view the ventilation duct. After to be able to steal a car from the police station, she heads to the city center, where there are the office and the jewelry exhibition. Arriving at the office she enters, and immediately notices the two splendid young journalists, flashy in their beauty, even more provocative, thanks to generous necklines and crotch miniskirts. The thief shows her badge and introduces herself:

- Good morning, - she said: - I'm Lieutenant Jennings, from the police station. I have to seize this office for administrative irregularities.

But Shirley and Goldie don't seem to have heard anything of what the (fake) policewoman said. Goldie sitting behind her desk is watching something on a gossip site on her computer. Shirley is standing next to her holding a copy of the newspaper, but she is also intent on following the site on the computer.
Shirley said: - Watch that girl what ugly hair has, Goldie!

- And what horrible lips she has - Shirley answered:- Not like our body tweaks,that are perfect!

The friends burst into laughter.

Lady Chameleon impatiently turns to the two girls: - Sorry girls, did you hear what I said? You must leave the office immediately!.

Goldie looks up at Lady Chameleon with a mocking air: - What did you say your name? Lieutenant Jennings? I don't think I've ever heard about you, and do you have a warrant anyway?

Lady Chameleon answered: - Well really no!

- If you haven't a warrant we won't leave the office, - Goldie said - and then, you don't see we're busy, right Shirley?

- True! - confirmed the friend. Again, the two girls burst into laughter.

Lady Chameleon loses finally patience and becomes furious: - Well, since good manners do not work I, will use another method! - and while she saying this, tears the cables from the girl's computers.
Hey! - Goldie exclaimed:- You're crazy! What do you do?

- I'm not crazy at all - Lady Chameleon answered:- Now watch silly chicks! - and she literally takes the newspaper out of Shirley's hand.

(In the meanwhile).

Joan McKinney is a young and strong-willed detective for some time on the trail of Lady Chameleon.

Several times she had been close to arresting her, but she had never managed to catch the thief, unfortunately. Joan is smart and strong-willed and thanks to the her informants had managed to know Lady'Chameleon's plans. So, now she's on her way to the office of the beautiful journalists Shirley Collins and Goldie Smith.

Arrived, she finds the office door wide open and everything inside is devastated, as if a hurricane has passed. Computers are all fallen to the ground, the electric and telephone cables have disappeared, and the drawers are all open; there are pieces of newspapers torn on the ground; last but not least the grate of the ventilation system has been removed. Joan deduces that this time, too, unfortunately, she arrived late.

But her attention is captured by noises, moans, coming from behind a door. She is locked. With the help of a small hair clip, she is able to force the lock. It is a small closet, and the detective can't believe what she sees.

Inside there are the beautiful Goldie and Shirley, sit down on the ground, tied tightly with numerous sturdy electrical cords. They have open blouses showing their breasts. They are gagged with a bulky, full-bodied ball of newspaper pages, stuffed in their mouth. Wadded and crumpled newsprint is so bulky, that it protrudes a lot from the lips and forces the girls with their mouths open. Small, but sturdy electric cables, tied very strictly behind the nape, holds the gag in the mouth.

The two beauties moan pleadingly, with eyes full of shame and anger, but Joan seems not to notice, so much she is struck by the bondage that immobilizes the girls. On the wall, where the two girls are leaning back, just above their heads , the signature of the perfid Chameleon. A slip of paper written in lipstick, which reads:

"Do you like my job, detective?"

Again Lady Chameleon has mocked her. Joan does not know if to be disappointed in herself, or admired by the skill of the elusive thief.In the meanwhile Shirley and Goldie continue to moan, hoping that sooner or later the detective will free them from the electric cables and the newsprint that gags them, but Joan continues not to care too much about them.
