Beautiful draw. How can you make those effects of the scenery? Once I tried digital art but a didn't understand anything

For the background I used custom sai brushes and the eraser tool. Digital art is very confusing. To understand it, I suggest keeping at it! It's taken me almost three years to get to this point.
