Akane is one of three OCs of mine made to represent symptoms of my BPD, each created while I was going through each symptom.

Akane represents my violent obsession and the lengths at which I'll go to fulfill it. She's a yandere, manipulative and violent, representing the intrusive thoughts that remain ever present in my mind when I form obsessions with people. Her name means "dark red," but she dresses in pink, a vague hint at the way that I mask my tendencies with a chipper personality and happy go lucky disposition. For a similar reason, she's always smiling, and almost always holds the same expression, a wide, empty smile with wide, slightly threatening eyes. Her asymmetric hair and abundant bandages also represent my self harm, but unlike ?, she hides her scars away. She wraps herself in band aids to pretend the scars aren't there, and ties her hair up with pretty bows to dress up her rapidly declining mental health in a friendly face in hopes no one will notice. The word that best describes her is 'violent,' as she is very much so to herself and others.
