"I smile when you wake me up. Planetismals may be forming five hundred and some odd light years away, but I won't leave an inch for just eight more minutes. Eight more minutes by your side while the water for tea boils and stars go supernova. Backwards light reaching the bottom of my cup. We arch against one another, lounging before the sunlight envelopes us. It takes eight minutes for that sunlight to reach us, to consume us, to wake us. Right now, planets are forming and blinking out of existence in just the right moment. Right now, I am blinking. I'm 17 again and remembering that we blink over 11,000 times in one day. I blink the sunlight back, and for just 8 more minutes, we are alone, together, in the dark."⁣⁣⁣⁣ (Poem written by me).
