I like it. It's a really great scene, good composition. But it's sorta indistinct. F/8.5 is relatively high, so it doesn't seem like it's a depth of field thing. Some parts are in focus too, so I don't think it's distance based. Which makes me wonder if it's something you did in post-processing?

I am not a professional photographer, and I don't consciously pay attention to specifics, just trying to find a good position and frame. There is no modification though, it's all natural. I'm sorry I hope this answers your question, I have never learned certain terms for photography.

That's fine, I'm no pro either. I'm just trying to puzzle out why some parts are out of focus and others are not. It must've been sort of windy I realized. Two recommendations that I might've thought of had I been taking the picture. One, higher shutter speed, so it's sharper. The other, a very low shutter speed, so the grass is solid blur, yet the sky and gate would still be in sharp focus.

Anyway, keep it up!
