Jeepers, I haven't submitted a deviation since October!

Well, since last year, I've been hooked on a new kick-ass Spider-Man cartoon: The Spectacular Spider-Man. Great cartoon, plot and animation. Go and check it out on Youtube if you haven't seen it yet. Canada's currently getting Season 2 right now, but the States is supposed to be getting it around mid-March.

Anywho, of all the designs of the characters, the villain with the most major changes was Electro. I didn't really like the character when he first appeared ("Interactions" S1, EP2) but I loved his character design, if you've ever seen the original Electro, he just looked like a villain you can't take too seriously. As Season 1 went by, I saw Electro's reappearance with the Sinister Six ("Group Therapy" S1, Ep11). Looking to Doc Ock for a cure for his condition, Electro began to grow on me as a fave villain. However, his sanity begins to deteriorate once he denies his old life as Max Dillon in Season 2, especially at the end of episode 9 ("Growing Pains"). Plus, I love the character just 'cause he's voiced by Crispin Freeman (Alucard, Hellsing/ Hellsing Ultimate) which is just so godddamn AWESOME.

Spectacular!Electro is super fun to draw, but a lot of people who saw me drawing this asked me about the tubes coming out of his chest and thought they were attached to his nipples... Plus, I wanted to work more with my Prismacolor markers.
