I've always said that Maria was the ultimate thinking man's video game hot babe. Attractive enough to draw the eye, flawed enough to be accessible, she exuded a kind of come-and-get-me aura with her clothes and behavior that contrasted with the psychological misery that came from association with a woman who was convinced that a man was essential to her welfare, if not her physical survival. A true indictment of selfish male erotic desire, and yet another of many reasons why Silent Hill Two will always be one of the greats.
