Oh my God, it's MILO2. My online namesake actually existed as a character, waaaaaaaay back when. As in, 'in the author's first book' old. He's been around for nearly seven years now! *o* OLDOLDOLDDDDD~ But, of all the old characters, he's the only one I still love enough to A) use as my online pseudonym and B) entertain the possibility of someday re-writing a story for him.

Storytime! (dearie me, it's like all I ever do to you, tell you stories XD)

ONCE UPON A TIME IN A MAGICAL LAND AND A MAGICAL TIME (ie. Toronto in the not-too-distant-future, based on the book...), there was a mad scientist dude who, naturally, was also a megalomaniac. He wanted to take over Toronto! Oh noes! So he goes about creating an army of genetically warped soldiers. Now, looking back, I can assure you that these hybrids were very ANIME. And I mean it: they had wings and tails, they were half-cat -dog -snake, they were all over the place with psychic abilities and shiz like that. Not a bad story for a thirteen-year-old, but come on. I could do better.

The story only gets good when the mad scientist decides to alter the DNA of an underling named Milo Henderson. Yes. Milo turns into a sourpuss and eventually gets to be too much of a handful for the mad scientist to deal with. Milo gets fired, promptly after getting his vocal chords removed so he can't share any secrets (sound vaguely familiar, O Readers of Mine?). As a bit of an added insult to Milo's pride, they clone him. Hopefully the clone will turn out obedient; measures are even taken to ensure this (he's programmed, so to speak, to be so obedient to his creator it borders on OCD).

Several failed attempts later, they have a fully-formed Milo clone. The first two bodies didn't form properly. The third body, a successful physical replica, has yet to awaken and begin life as Milo the sequel. BUT, surprise surprise, the cloned body doesn't begin living like it's supposed to; it just lies there for a few days.

Impatient and frustrated, the scientists make the endlessly foolish decision to shock some life into the thing... y'know, the old Frankenstein-lightning-storm deal, only without the actual storm XD

And, whatddya know, something goes wrong. (le gasp) There's a freak power surge through the lab, the instant they flip the switch. OH GOD WHAT NOW. They turn everything off and freak out some, praying to God that they didn't fry the clone's brains beyond useless. They don't want a retarded Milo; they want a smart, obedient Milo. It's understandable.

Nothing happens, so they retreat, feeling defeated. Probably to go get drunk.

The clone wakes up during their absence and happy times ensue.

...By 'happy times', I mean: They discover the clone somehow already speaks fluent English, despite being an hour old, can read, can dress himself, can navigate the lab hallways. And, oh shit, guess what: HE'S INSANE. Pyromanic, sadistic, childish, catatonic, short-fused, paranoid, obsessive, manipulating... Basically a hundred times worse than Milo. Apparently that freak power surge got to his brain. Aw, crap.

Not to mention the clone is genetically enhanced to be telekinetic, stronger than a bus, etc. etc. etc. The city awaits its painful demise.

And they name this adorable ball of fluff Milo2.

PS: despite the math skills demonstrated above, i am not twenty years old. subract two from that'n. what i meant was that milo2 or the ideas for milo2 have existed for seven years, and i wrote it all down at thirteen. mmkay? mmkay.
