Great guitar (and fantastic vector!), they sound fantastic, so I don't know what that guy is talking about, unless his trying for a true lead sound a la steve vai etc (although the newer pups are pretty shitty).
I replaced the standard pickups with vintage '66 jazzmaster pickups and it sings now.

I've always wanted a Fender Jaguar but they do sound like crap, oddly enough I'd still buy it just for it's appearance. Certainly a nice vector.

i always thought the looked great, and they didnt sound shit the way Thurston Moore and Lee Ranaldo "played" them
