Description A few Cardinals, trying out a new "balancing act" on my back deck bird feeder during this past weekend's ice storm. Eventually, they gave up and decided to sit nearby and wait it out until it all melted.

Boy...as if winter isn't hard enough for a bird! Now they have to contend with icicles barring the feeder

Yeah! Fortunately, though, it didn't last long. It melted away pretty quickly, and they got to rob me blind of bird seed like they do almost every day! It's been a pretty easy winter, so far... Let's hope Spring is just around the corner! I'm not a cold weather fan at all!

Thanks, Laura! Yeah! I love my Cardinals! It's so hard for me to call them that! Around here, we've always called them, "Red Birds."

"Wonderful icicles????" You can have 'em! I'm soooo not a fan of winter! I'm a summer gal, all the way!
Yeah, they were having a tough time, but, fortunately, for them, the ice didn't stick around long, and they were able to get to the feeder when it melted. They're regulars at my place!
