Description This is a picture of my mom, taken on Easter Sunday, a day before she was to have another surgery, which I was very worried about. The last surgery she had, a few months ago, turned life threatening due to a doctor's mistake and things went horribly wrong. As a matter of fact, she's still having problems and always will, due to that one mistake made by the doctor, which almost cost her her life.

Yesterday, she had another surgery, which went real well. But, then, later in the afternoon, she took a turn for the worst and got really sick. I won't go into all the details, but, she had a really bad day and night, and it was very scary for all of us. A lot of prayers were said by a lot of good friends, dA friends included, and once again, she's pulled through! She's doing much better today, and hopefully, every day from here on out, she will show much more improvement. Thank you all, from the bottom of my heart, for all you've done. You know who you are! I can never repay you for your love and kindness shown to a lady you've never even met, but,you know... she means the world to me!

She's doing much better, but, had an injury this week, so, we're watching her really closely. She has been doing great, though.

alright,sometimes they forget they aren't 20 anymore,
I had to keep watch over my mom too,she would climb
up on chairs to change light bulbs and things like that
not thinking how badly she could get hurt!

Awww! That's so sweet of you to say! She's always been such a pretty lady! I've always thought so, anyway! I may be just a tiny bit biased, though!

Thank you for being so concerned about her, when you've had more than your own share of troubles going on at the same time! I just can't believe how similar our lives seem to always run! It amazes me, but, we always make it through, some how! I really do appreciate your concern! It means the world to me, Tea! You're such a good friend!

Thank you, Cher! She's still having a few rough days, but, at least the surgery is behind her. She's got a fever and a cold, now, that's worrying me. I'm hoping it's nothing, and better days are just around the corner. Thanks so much for your well wishes!

Thank you so much for all of your prayers and kind words. She's been having a few rough days, but, I'm hoping she will start to improve, soon, and have nothing but good days ahead. She certainly deserves them! Thanks again, for everything! You've been so good to us, all through this whole ordeal! And, I sure do appreciate all the 's you've given me. I've got a whole stack of your work to get through...one of these days! I will, though...I promise, I will! Thanks, again!

I will pray for your mom's continued recovery and hope that every day she is one day closer to every day being a good day. Don't worry about anything but getting your mom well again. Again that was such a great photo of your mom it sure brought out her sweet personality

I'm hoping it's just "nothing" like she's saying, but, I'm an old "worrier," when it comes to her! I really appreciate your kind words and am so glad you liked the picture. I hope your mom's cold goes away soon, the hospital is the worse place to catch anything and the faster she can come home the better. It is hard to not worry when someone we love is ill but it is a pat answer for people to say "don't worry." Easier said than done, right? Take care Mim

You're so right! There are so many germs in a hospital, and you have to be so very careful! She's home now, and once again, starting to feel a little better. The fever is going down and her cold seems to be getting a little better, too. I was so afraid it was going to go into pneumonia, especially, when she got a fever. But, it seems to be getting better, so, maybe those "good days" are closer than ever! Thank you for your constant support. You'll never know how much your encouraging words help to keep me going.

That's what I'm hoping for! She says she's feeling better, now that the fever has broke. That's a step in the right direction, anyway.

I think so! I HOPE so! She seems to be feeling a lot better today. She fixed fried chicken for me and Eddie when I came home from church today, that tasted better than The Colonel's! I know it wore her out, but, she wanted to do something so badly, to "repay" me for "all I've done..." I told her it was just like Sundays when we were little kids. That used to be the meal we'd have every week when we'd come home from church. Fried chicken. No one makes it like my mom! Eddie almost passed out from breathing the fumes when we first walked in! You know how food motivated that little hound of mine is! It was good stuff!
(You DID notice, she was "too sick" to go to church, but, she stayed home and cooked fried chicken, right??) :

If it was me I rather she stay home and fix the chicken It's funny that you had chicken on Sundays as a child because that was our Sunday dinner as well. My best friends mom made pasta every Sunday and they ate it mid day, we ate around 5 O'clock so we would eat pasta at her house and then later the chicken at my house. Oh to be able to eat like that now. Glad your mom is feeling somewhat better. I'm sure it will take time for her to gain her strength back

Yeah, I was glad she opted to stay home, too, because, she's a Sunday School teacher, and I knew she wasn't up to teaching class. That, in itself, takes a lot out of a person!

Yeah, she always seems to take a good picture...even when I chop the top of her head off, like I did here! She's a beautiful lady, I think!...doesn't look 77, does she?

Great news on the surgery and I hope your mom keeps getting better all the time! Things happen in life and no surgery is a slam dunk--she's tough though sounds like and has lots to stick around for--like you Doesn't seem to matter if we know her or not--nobody really wants anyone to suffer needlessly and everybody wants to think good things for others. Take care of her (I know you will) Mim and give her a hug for me well, maybe not that tight but you know

Thanks so much, John! I couldn't have made it through this week, without good people like you, and I know she certainly wouldn't be here without you all! It's been rough, but, I think we're on the good side of things, now. She looks so much better today than she did yesterday. It's been a complete turn around in 24 hours.
I will give her that hug, but, like you said...not too tight! I don't wanna pop any stitches or anything!
