Ahaha, I made this so long ago. I keep it up because a lot of people still use it. (Although I do have to admit that it sounds silly when people say it in every day conversation.)

I can truthfully say that I've never once done that. I think the only thing I've ever said in Japanese in real life is "ja" for bye. I know full well that extreme fangirls make a bad name for most others.

And it's not extreme fangirls, its the ones that claim to be extreme but don't really know much and only know the anime or manga that are also popular in America, but no others that aren't and know nothing about Japanese culture. :3 -knows too much about fangirl/fanboy demographics- Do you know what an otaku is~? And what anime do you like~? :3 And do you know what Vocaloid is, and if so, how many different Vocaloids do you know? I know what an otaku is, I like maybe one or two different animes, but I'm not really reading or watching anything currently. (Kuroshitsuji, Yotsubato& and Junjou Romantica are the only ones I keep up-to-date on) I don't really care for the whole Hatsane Miku thing going around. I have a few Japanese songs from DDR for my workout playlist. I mean, I go to conventions and all, but I don't really flaunt my nerdiness.

Sayonara is bye, and for a shortened version I've heard Japanese people say baibai or just bai :3 Yes it is based off of English.

You don't seem to be a bothersome otaku then, but most otakus who don't know more then kawaii are really annoying so I sorta test them to see if they're annoying or not And if you've only heard Miku out of the Vocaloids, then you're really missing out, there's a lot more. I'm going to a con soon~ And nerdiness? I guess people make otakus into nerds, but, boo them

I don't care one way or another, people can do what they want and I'm not going to bother them. Hatsane Miku is just some computer program. It's pretty looking, but it's not all that interesting besides a pretty face and awkward music. And ja ne does mean "bye" "sayonara" is saying bye, but in a way that makes it seem like you're not going to see that person again or not for a very long time.

Miku is voiced by a real person, just so you know :3 And there are a lot more like her. Which songs have you heard? If you like any music you will find at least one Vocaloid song you like :3 Miku isn't the only one at all.
Technically, ja ne means see you, and even though you can use it the same way it still doesn't mean bye. Sorry, I get technical with things And sayonara can be said either way, often in more formal settings, but is still more common then ja ne :3

No. It doesn't speak for the rest of the world. It's beyond the rest of the world. And I'm not boosting this stupid little icon's popularity unless I'm adding it to my favorites. And I would never do that.
And I'm not a hypocrite. Wasting energy on making an icon that promotes illiteracy is bad. But berating the person who does that and discouraging them from doing so in the future is not.
