Wow! These are so adorable! I've been searching for a donut tutorial but haven't been able to find one...SO! I was just curious...how do you make your donuts?

They look so yummy! I love the use of the beads for sprinkles. Awesome job!

They're quite simple - the hardest thing is smoothing over the join in the clay when you form the doughnut - but a little time and patience and you can completely smooth out the join.

I remeber once that I got a few necklaces from a shop that were made with the same material, and it really upset me that the beads were wearing and then falling off, so it just came to me to put the glass beads there, and it definately works!

My mum won't go near a computer - not because she couldn't learn (she is a bright, intelligent 45 year old), but because she likes to revel in her ignorance... She loves to ask me to travel all the way to her house to do something mind-bogglingly simple but boring, and she loves for me to have to write her CV for her, etc - she could easily learn, but by not learning it means that she can get someone else to do it...

Not bad at all - a bit tired because I have been traveling a lot between London (which as you may know is in the souths of England) and Lancaster (which is in the very north) and all the travelling between the two has worn me out a bit, and now we are having a new kitchen fitted, so the noise, the NOISE! I have invested in ear-plugs to top my nerves from shattering and to let me get on with a few things at least.

Unfortunately though I have been doing the same long journey for 7 years now... Backwards and forwards, backwards and forwards - it's not exactly going to see the wide world - I could tell you every bush and sheep we pass on the way on the train - I've seen them that many times before!

Wow, these do look edible! They'd be fun strung round a bracelet together. These made me giggle considering a doughnut (or donut) bead is usually something like these: [link]

Yes, I think I may string them onto a bracelet as they are a nice small size and will look good together. I didn't know there was such a thing as a 'doughnut' bead, but I guess these are similar in a way - but actually doughnuts!

Spiffy craftwork! Doughnuts never looked more glam! Especially the one with the white icing & pink beads. Very good!

lol, thankyou Viscious-Speed, yes, they are rather 'glam' as far as doughnuts go, they look the way a good doughnut tastes, haha. My friend *Scafusss here on DA also has some rather Glam Doughnuts , and they are what gave me the initial inspiration.

We (in England) call the topping on the doughnut 'icing' and the Americans usually use the word 'frosting' I think. See, even when you speak English as a first language it can be confusing! It's the same as when we in the UK spell it 'doughnuts' but in USA they spell it 'donut', and we call the little speckles on the top 'hundreds and thousands' but in America I think they call them 'sprinkles'.
One day English english and American English will be two completely different languages, haha...

Ahh, thankyou FreakyBabe! They look sweet enough, but try biting one and it may hurt your teeth! Are you fasting at the moment? Maybe that is what is making them look so tasty!
