I see this as a new start on DA, starting with an acrylic painting. I actually don't see many acrylic paintings on DA o: . Am I a hipster now?

My comment tag word was shiny, and many of your pieces matched this, but I decided to comment on a traditional piece.
First of all, the girl is very cute and the fish are beautiful. I actually like the name of it, as it sort of changes the perspective of the painting.
The hair has been very brilliantly done, especially the fringe and I think the same amount of detail could of been put in the rest of the hair. The bow and headband are adorable too!
I like how the dress is a little bit big for her, as it makes her look small and shy. Her hands could of been maybe outlined or a little darker because it's a bit hard to see them. Legs and shoes look great!
I really like the cloud thingies at the bottom, the colouring and design is perfect. The butterflies are cute too, as well as the hanging ball things (can't think of what to call them, sorry). The little dots on the strings add nice detail.
My biggest critique would be the blue. I see how you've made it lighter up the top, and that's good, but it sort of very suddenly changes colour, and it might of looked nicer more gradual. The background looks rushed to me, and I think it's really important to try and make the background the best part because it's the base of the whole painting. Notice how there's a few streaks across it? Just try and minimize those.
Overall fantastic job! I love it!

Yea you're right about the blue, the BG was edited afterwards and therefore it was really difficult getting it right, it was indeed rushed

I like painting actually, I'm more into watercolors though, but I don't feel like spending my day on a drawing when I can make several comic pages in sketch or 2 or 3 digital drawings instead xD

That's a good point! Tradi is time-consuming but awesome ;w;
This year I changed my studies and now I'm more into "classic" art (I mean, not animation nor the like) and I sometimes have to draw/paint on giant sheets of paper (I think the size is 75 × 106 cm) This is a challenge everytime, but I think I'm getting the hang of it, last week I had the impression the sheet was smaller than usual xD

Yes we have 8h to make something on them, it's really tiring -_-
But we can't draw on a smaller paper, since it's for a national contest xD
Don't worry I have a lot of material already, it'll take some time to finish it
But indeed the paper is expensive xD
