Description R.P.G. (Ransack People's Gold) is the tale of four D&D/Star Wars/RPG players and their DM, who wishes he were a player. These intrepid players are, from left to right:
Kenneth, the over-achieving, yet under appreciated DM.
Adam, the guy who has a theater background but needs a girlfriend.
Barry, the munchkin power-gamer with a bad case of arrested development.
Josh, the straight-laced guy who just wants to play the game.
Kassi, Josh's homicidally-minded younger cousin, whom he regrets inviting.

yup but good thing baby kicking is reserved for evil while kicking old people is only for heros especialy those who block you because its a warning somthing bad will happen. For me i think villans take the blame and use the trouble heros cause to have the upper hand at times

Using the heroes' blunders for your own advantage is one of the big perks of being the bad guy. Besides, they do enough collateral damage that most common folks can't tell heroes from terrorists.

Yes that is true not to mention heroes don't really have giant cool castles or hide outs. plus they got have no henchman or minions all they got are sidekicks who probably and most likely die or do all the work and get no credit atleast with villains minions or henchman die and get some credit for what they do. I also do not really think villains kidnap princesses or are villains at all in reality, I just think they are wrongly accused people by others or they just don't want to comply with some rules, So kings hire blood thirsty pride addictive or even lust crazed fools who want attention to kill or fight the so called villains. while villains are probably just average people who hate the rules of another silly hero claiming to be a king after defeating a villain and becoming a king by self declaration.

Well, at least in RPGs, heroes hire henchmen as much as villains do and they tend to be every bit as ruthless in disposing of them since dead henchmen collect no wages.

seems more like villan henchmen get jobs that are less likely to kill them like set up traps and leave and then wait ahead if they get though while hero henchmen is to run through and die in the traps while the hero walks through to be safe and kill the enemy henchmen or be captured just to escape

Funny how the villain henchman is a more cushy job.

its true i mean have you ever seen a villain observing a trap and going "Henchman trigger that trap and die" nope villain just uses his magic or power to go "Henchman check for a trap and disarm if possible if not throw something heavy to trigger and step back because i need you later to carry the loot" or the villain just has henchmen set traps and wait ahead like i said while hero troops set the traps and wait in front of the traps to be killed and then if any survive die in their own trap that somehow kills some of the enemy too because they like to set up areas that explode everything because they love terrorist like traps while the villain sets up a kind of garbage disposal trap that crushes people into a mulch probably for their animals to eat or a garden or their floor opens up into a pit where you get crushed and burried or incinerated in lava after falling through. villains sound more enviromental or economical.

Heroes are also just as likely to kill their own allies as villains are, the difference being that the guys the villain kills are expendable.

true but remember atleast villans keep them around long enough and mainly the minions if they are killed by the boss is because they messed up at somthing extremely important while heros just throw sidekicks into the fray wave after wave until they can get through unhurt.

Heroes don't kill henchmen for screwing up. Heroes screw up and get henchmen killed.

yes but remember what if the hero wanted them dead for more loot share by getting his own team killed off to make splitting the loot less until they get the whole

mindflenzing In reply to Darkhero64 [2013-07-18 06:05:52 +0000 UTC]

Generally, villains are more likely to kill partners they have to split loot with but then then generally negotiate pretty stingy pay arrangements with henchmen so there is little point in trying to stiff their lackeys. Specialists on the other hand tend to be expensive so villains and heroes alike generally prefer them to end the mission dead so they don't have to pay them.

good point but still being a villan at times can be fun in any game because they get all the badass crowd killing powers while heros generaly get the kind of good more party buffers and healing helpful things that boosts physical and defence while villans go more offencive in the games or comics too.

This is why characters like Wolverine are so popular. Heroes who get to do the badass things that normally only villains get to do are cathartic for those who feel that the system allows real life villains to do as they please while the good guys are forced to play by the rules.

unless they are anti heroes like deadpool, Wolverine sometimes acts like one on situations, Jonah hex, Ghost rider, and a few others. because hey a anti hero can kill a villan and that is like doing a favor.

Deadpool is a bit different since one of his big schticks is that he breaks the fourth wall and his insanity is actually genre awareness.

He isn't the only meta superhero in Marvel but he is the best known one who realizes he is a comic book character. I do find if funny that his understanding of the universe he lives in makes a lunatic into the sanest person around.

Deadpool is hilarious in the Marvel Ultimate Alliance games because in them he realizes that he's in a video game.

A Deadpool movie is the kind of film begging to be a cult classic, which is probably not what the studios want.

I find myself having to tune my LFR characters down to PG-13 a lot because many of the guys who play have children under 13 who they bring along (some of them even play D&D).

Spanish and German have too many cognates. Japanese lacks punch. I'd have to learn how to swear in Arabic. They have the most colorful vulgarities and almost nobody speaks it here.

It can be bothersome when a friend does curse and everyone else does. You don't want to make them feel weird by dropping eff bombs but you still want to express yourself.

Vulgarity tension can be killer, sometimes you just need to get the eff bomb out on the table.
