Why is it that these two having a daughter is so appropriate?

This may be an unpopular opinion, but it would be interesting to see a series where the main cast have all become adults. They could see their children grow up with their own Digimon.

That's how the 2nd season ended though. It showed what happened to them in their late 30's early 40's. Izzy has a daughter with a Motimon for a partner.

Yeah, but I meant a whole series. It would be more interesting if they were conflicted in regards towards their parental duties.

Fair point. I've noticed a running conflict when something gets a new installment; some people hate running trends and some hate wild departure. It's got to be tough for the people who make the material.

Well I was thrilled when they made Tri, though there were some issues I had with it, I tried to not let those plot holes ruin it for me. In the end I’m glad they did it! Same with Kizuna, I wish it was longer than 1 movie, since it will likely be rushed and the 02 kids deserve more screen time. Besides a few little things I’m happy to see the characters. Though as much as I am never done with Digimon Adventure, I think it’s smart they end with this movie. Though they are remaking the original season, but fans are just seeing that as an AU, it’s the same characters but again not. It’s not “my” Izzy, won’t have the history, but I will see what it’s about

I didn't watch Tri, but I was a little curious as to why the 02 crew wasn't present. Dealing with sequels isn't easy.

Yeah they were trapped in the digital world for a year but the 01 kids apparently didn’t notice??? Big plot hole xD

And yeah they are! Same story basically with some differences takes place with them being kids in 2020 but I think the Digimon come to their world not like the original
