Hot Spot Major is the Autobot bonded to Eta Supreme, an Omega Sentinel. He's very loyal to his ship, possibly out of friendship or mere pride as a captain.
Hot Spot Major and his Omega Sentinel were present during the Battle for Iacon. Upon Eta Supreme's destruction at the hands of Blackout, Hot Spot Major refused to evacuate, determined to go down with his ship. The rest of Eta's crew were forced to drag him away before the Sentinel exploded.
