Description Alrighty folks! For the first time ever, I've finished the cover for one of my stories before I even started writing it! In preparation of the final chapter in my Bound Destinies (LOZ Fanfic) trilogy, I present you the cover for.... Light and Shadow!!!!

As per usual, I drew this by hand, but I think that my artwork has really improved from when I drew the cover for Wisdom and Courage like, forever ago. Plus, I edited this to really bring out the colors more so I hope it shows!! Before I go on, allow me to say that Light and Shadow takes place in the aftermath of Twilight Princess, just so you know. Now, without giving away too many spoilers, I will reveal some of the symbolism found within this little cover right here!

Hearkening back to Wisdom and Courage's cover, I placed the main antagonist for the story right up at the top. Verona! Now, as you will likely notice, Verona's appearance borrows from both Veran and Midna's, to which there is good reason. Of course, she is a Twili, but more importantly she is a direct descendant of Veran from Wisdom and Courage!!! Ooooo!!! Plus, you might also note a few hints of Veress in her design as well, which I hope you like! Her right fist is alight with a violet burst of flame, which coincides with the placement of Hyrule Castle to her right (more on that in a moment) as one of her goals is to establish her complete domination over Hyrule. Over her other hand is a very important plot point I like to call the Spirit Shard. I don't wanna give away too much here, but let's just say its quite important to the story at large and I'll give away more once the story is a little ways done. Anyway... moving on!

Like I said, to Verona's right is the lovely (and very hard to draw) Hyrule Castle, looking pretty much exactly like it does in the game, with pristine blue skies overhead. Of course, this represents Hyrule's important role in the story, in the same way that the Twilight Realm to the left of Verona is as important to the plot as well. Going even deeper into the symbolism here, Hyrule is the world of light while the Twilight Realm is the world of shadows... hm....

Going downwards, we of course have the Goddess's Harp and the Ocarina of Time, which, as I've said before are something of symbols of the trilogy at large, as well as representations of the Blood of the Goddess and the Spirit of the Hero respectively. Also, before I go onto the other characters, I'd like to point out the red, blue and green comet-like lights flying in a sort of cycle circle are supposed to represent the three golden goddesses of course (Din=red), (Nayru=blue), (Farore=green). Also, I'd also like to say that the positions of Midna, Zelda and Link are all important, but I shall not say why yet!!! You'll have to figure that out on my own!!!

Now, we move onto the Twilight Princess herself, Midna (both forms of course). We have her classic imp form first, and if you look closely, part of the Fused Shadow that she wears is broken, of course from how Ganondorf broke it during the final battle of Twilight Princess. Most of it was fixed, but that piece could not be found so... anyway. I didn't really change her imp design, no did I mix up her true form (which is so fun to draw by the way). Of course, I chose to put both of her forms here because they are both going to be of pretty big importance to the story, as Midna will be at large. Now, right below her is of course the Triforce, and I want you to take note of its position, which I will not say much about, except for the fact that its position is of great importance in relation to the characters, and I want to see if you guys can figure it out...

Now moving down to Zelda, I have to say I'm quite proud of how well I drew her, since TP character designs are hard for me. She is of course wearing the Goddess Tiara, one of the staples of the trilogy, as well as wielding her Bow of Light. The battle outfit she's wearing is based off of her classic TP design, with elements of SS Zelda and OoT Zelda's designs and trilogy clothes. I also feel compelled to mention the light filled background behind her, filled with golden swirls. Light... hm... (Not giving anything else away there yet!!!)

Now between Link and Zelda we have the Hero's Shade, who will play an important role in the story. I didn't change much about his appearance of course, but allow me to say... quite difficult to draw!!!

Now, finally getting to the hero himself, we move onto Link... (Sooooo attractive!!!!) Let me just say TP Link is like, my absolute favorite Link so... XD Anyway, as per usual, he wears his classic green, as well as the mantel and cape of the Link from the SS prequel manga, which I like to think is a sort of symbol of the spirit of the hero. He of course, wields the Master Sword, which is surrounded by a golden glow like it is in Twilight Princess upon being empowered by the Sols. Now as far as what's going on with his other hand.. the whole fire, wind, ice thing... uh... can't say much about that right now (cough, magic, cough) What??? Uh... Anyway, going to his gorgeous face, you'll notice that some of his golden hair is white, relating to the corruption element of each story in the trilogy. Now, I can't go into any details about it, let's just say it will have some level of significance to it in the story!!! Also, take note of the blue markings on his face, sorta resembling the markings that appeared on Puppet Zelda's face in TP... Hm... wonder what they could mean for Link, as well as that sorta devious smirk on his face as well as the fact that his eyes seem to be silver rather than their normal light blue... hm... curious...

If you wanna know all about it (as well as the dark, SHADOWY similarly marked background behind him) and more though, you'll have to read Light and Shadow, coming to Fanfiction.net soon! But if you wanna catch up with the trilogy as a whole first, then go here www.fanfiction.net/~minijen to read the first two stories in the trilogy, Blood and Spirit and Wisdom and Courage!!! Enjoy!!
