You don't need to be sorry. I just had nothing to do, until I decided to take pictures. I am satisfied with this picture too.

I try to always carry my camera on me now. Camera and sketchbook and I'm never bored.

Good idea, sometimes I am just to lazy to carry my camera, but I could also carry my sketchbook everywhere, it's not to heavy.

Yes, but you have to carry lenses and all, right? Sometimes a good point and shoot is a blessing.

To carry all the lenses and tripod can be pretty annoying... but photography is a great hobby!!!!!

Agreed on both counts. I'm loving photography, but carrying the tripod is a pain. Sometimes the husband and I use monopods just because they are easier to lug. I should carry my tripod more. I do have a mini-tripod as well. Do you ever find those useful??

I have a mini-tripot, but it is not useful at all.
Are those monopods useful? I have never used one. Are they not too unstable?

Well, obviously the mono is not as good as a tripod. But they are much easier to carry and set up. The first one I had I did not like at all (hated) because the head did not adjust at all. But now I have one with a head just like on a tripod and it is much better. I try to stand with my feet braced so I kind of form a tripod with it and my body. I wouldn't take a long exposure with it, but it can give a little extra stability when needed.
