This little dragon wants to play! Don't mind her claws, they won't hurt you... much
She's hand-sculpted out of Premo Sculpy clay. Her body is a silvery white tone and her scales are a deep violet purple and silver. The silver was a brush on micro powder. I don't think she needs glaze, the colors are vibrant and gorgeous just as they are.
She also has beautiful row of silver overlapped scales running down her back. More pictures will be posted on Etsy.
The dragon measures about 2" x 3.5" x 4.5". She fits perfectly in the palm of the hand, otherwise she lays comfortably on a flat surface.

It will be more likely to hold your shapes and less likely to be squished when you combine different parts, like the edges of the wings to the leather-y inside bits.
To make the insides so clean and flat... first, flatten a chunk of clay, if you have a pasta roller handy or even a hand held dough roller to squish it, then cut it to the size and shape you would like (carefully with a small craft knife). I suggest using parchment paper underneath.

You should smooth out the fingertips with a bit of rubbing alcohol and a soft brush. Or hard brush if you want to texture. Pretty good work. Keep it up!

Thank you! I will do that. I've been doing the best I can with keeping the body smoothed out with my fingers. Then I read somewhere to use a q-tip with rubbing alcohol and thought to myself 'ew lint'. But for those fine details! a brush sounds perfect!

No, seriously. Q-Tip with alcohol is godsent. It takes off every tiny spec of dust that may get on it beautifully. My clay has never been so clean in my life. It's wonderful.
