Description Order: Palaeanodonta
Family: Vorursidae
Subfamily: Vorursinae
Tribe: Regitalpini
Genus: Regitalpis

The mimicing darzel, also known as the mimicing varcul, (Regitalpis scurivenator, Squirrel-hunting King-mole) is a species of darzel (tribe regitalpini) that live in the grasslands of north america. they are specialized for hunting prairie dogs and evolved a similar color scheme, but despite its name might imply, its not to go undercover in prairie dog burrows, rather, its so they can get close enough without the prarie dogs immediately alerting the others of their presence. but once the prarie dogs realize, the darzel chases one down with an incredible burst of speed, kills it via crushing their windpipe with their hands, and swallows it whole. the mimicing darzel is 10-15 pounds, so a successful hunt means that they could go a month without feeling hungry. (ill explain vorursid anatomy someday i swear)
