lol well that is basically what they are... The foot soldiers of Khorne
Yeah I gave that color scheme quite some thought. when I bought them a mate said to me "I can't imagine you painting them plain red" so I had to come up with something special... I wanted to give them a blazing look...

Well I am trying to finish off the Heresy box game but have been to busy to get on with it, I also have a Forgeworld Daemon Prince to do for a friend.Β Then I have 65 wounds worth of Dark Elves on the shelf ready for when I have time to start a AoS warband.
So yea I have way to much to do at the moment lol.

Currently we are using the following setup;
Minimum of 4 Warscrolls but no more than 8 Warscrolls.
Must have one Warscroll with the Hero keyword and no more
than 3 Warscrolls with this keyword in your army.
No more than 2 Warscrolls with the keyword Monster.
Maximum of 65 wounds in the army.
Maximum of 25 wounds per Warscroll.
No duplicate Warscrolls.
Β
Or if we step it up to 80 wounds;
Minimum of 4 Warscrolls but no more than 10 Warscrolls.
Must have one Warscroll with the Hero keyword and no more
than 3 Warscrolls with this keyword in your army.
No more than 3 Warscrolls with the keyword Monster.
Maximum of 80 wounds in the army.
Maximum of 30 wounds per Warscroll.

yeah we had something alike, but went to a point system because we had problems with stuff like clanrats. No reason taking troops like them in this setup.

Yes we found that there was little point in fielding many units from many of the armies, though overall they did do a good job of making most of the existing models valid and fun to use.

yes I love playing the game.
Do you guys put a limit on summoning? (like max x wounds in a summoning pool, or seed unit etc?)
They said at the start you could play it as a skirmisher? Have you allready tested that? I am going to one of the following weeks. Trying out something like max 10 models... (with agreed points off course) and then trying something with objectives
For a campaign we do the SDK point system
Then no named characters
A detachment with 3 heros on foot (these are necessary for our objectives, no other model can do them)
Max 2 times the same scroll
Max 1 time the same scroll if it is a Hero or Monster
Reinforcements cannot be models that already died
Summoning is limited to the scrolls in your starting armie list.
Instant win combos are not allowed (there are some in cross over armies)
Always scenario, never the just kill each other thing...

Our limit for summoning is the unit minimum size that tends to be a maximum of 10 wounds most of the time.
Β
It would be worth pointing out that in AoS there is no such thing as a named character anymore?
For our campaign we play the Battleplans that do not use the sudden death victory conditions.

yeah we phrased it a bit differently... but we are still working on it...
We only have a few players for the game so it is difficult to get some experience, most just stopped after a few games when AOS came out.

AoS is a completely different game from WHF 8th ed and though I still love the big armies marching across the battle fields in their units I also really like the heroic clashes AoS brings to the table top.
Β
It has been hard going with some customers to get them to not hate AoS and shown them how it really plays.Β They now have in essence an army that now fits 2 game systems for no extra cost.
Β
That said we still play 1st ed Necromunda in the shop hehehehe.
