Jai’kanu and Makwa are just two young troll druids in the Barrens, relaxing and being goofy in the shade of a tree. With their fishing spears at rest, some jewelry, snacks, face paints, and a drum, to mess around with now, or later. Seemingly the two are oblivious that the world around them is buzzing with life, and stories that normally get over looked, and never told. A dragon fly perches to rest, while a bee buzzes on the pot of honeycomb. A mother and son giraffe are on their way to brunch, when the younger one gets a little plucky and nibbles on the mother’s mane, much to the amusement of two prairie dogs. A cheetah stalks amongst the tall grasses, while a gazelle center field warily looks around. A rabbit hides in the rocks in the shadow of a tree, watching and listening closely to all the sounds. A mouse maybe playing hide and sneak with a snake, or totally unaware of the danger it is in. In the high distance the scene is taking place under the shadow of the wings of a scouting turkey vulture.Β

<3's That makes me so glad that the honey made you giggle! There's actually funny story about the honeycomb, well almost everything about the picture has a little funny story but that dang honey was a bit of a doosey. Okay, my general idea, Jai is keeping the honey awaaay from Mak so he'll actually make jewelry, some positive reinforcement for some focus at a task. So Mak is curling his toes in anticipation for the reward system.

In real life, I was struggling with that stupid honey comb, I didn't have access to online, my computer kept over heating so easy references were out. So I took this big break because I was frustrated. I wanted that dang honey in the picture, even though I had no idea what honeycomb looked like. Like how thick/ wide it should be and what the general shape was. I knew it was hexagonish, but like that was the limit to it. Low and behold, we have honey comb cereal in the house. I'm looking at the box in the early morning, and was like totally spacing it, when like a stroke of genius or what seemed like it, hit me! I could just use the box in my hand for reference. First time ever I took cereal pieces to the computer with me. So what I did was just make rectangles the same color as the grass and then made the whitish color hexagons as reference, then interlocking them to make like random rectangle like shapes. Moral of the story: Breakfast is the most important meal of the day, even if you're not the one eating it! <3's

My daughter loved that mouse! She named him Squeaker's.

Omg.....theres just SO MUCH detail in the works of all of this! I love the backround, the little collection they got going so they can make things and the face paint, the animals, the pottery, the detail of both of the characters. Jai looks SO good. <3 <3 Oh my goodness, words cannot express just how GOOD this art piece is! I LOVE IT! And you SURPRISED ME BIG! <3
