Description
Fairly old character concept but its for the sake of uploading something. Currently busy working on backgrounds for an anime pilot, maybe i'll get permission to share some of that here. Anyways..I've named this character Serukai and here he weilds the phoenix blade Suzaken. I have a few ideas for his story along with a few other characters, i'll share it when its more complete.

dude, i've been askin' so many people.... how do you do you fire effect? damn it, it's so cool looking. my fire comes out lookin' like i try to hard( which i do) what are your steps to makin' fire?!?!?! i luv your gallery by the way...

Im sure there are many ways you can do it, but i'll try explain how i did it. First i use a bright saturated orange and draw the shape and waves of the fire and then add smaller specks of fire dispersing. Then use a bright mid-saturated yellow to highlight the base of the fire. If you use photoshop, the dodge tool is great for adding intense lighting but try not over-use it. Hopefully that helped.
