Question: what scanner do you use? And how do you make the traditional images have transparent backgrounds?

My scanner is a Canon MG 3250 ^^
To make the transparent background I open up the image in photoshop and use the magic wand tool to select all the white areas of the paper and delete them ^^ it detects the difference in colours pretty well so it's quite simple and quick ^^
and the most important step following that is to save the image as a .PNG ^^/

Oh ok! Well I have gimp, but my current scanner is really crappy so I'm afraid that gimp won't recognize what's the drawing and what's the background ;w;

well, if you're looking to buy a new scanner the ones by Canon are generally pretty affordable ^^
in the meantime something i can suggest is to try and up the contrast, maybe that will help ? ^^
