Description
In Jonathan Strange and Mr Norrell, there was a vivid description of this card, so I just had to draw it. XDYES. I really love that book~
This is part of a much bigger project that I am doing. I'm doing comic book cover illustrations on most of the book. You can see a WIP of one on my tumblr: [link]

I haven't seen any other drawing of that Tarot card, but yours is, sincerely, impressive. I see the work done on the dirty and written paper, too.

I think it is a very good book. It has amazing characters and very clever, funny moments that just make them all awesome. But it's 1000 pages...which makes it a good grounded read. : D
But also, it's takes place in the 19th century and IT'S WRITTEN LIKE IT IS. Like...they censor out people that use the word damn to d---. Also, footnotes that take up a page. LEGIT.
Ummm...it's like a grown up version of the Bartimaeus Trilogy. And if you never heard of the Bartimaeus Trilogy, the Bartimaeus Trilogy is like Harry Potter in old-timey London.

No, not at all! At least I don't think so. The heavier the line art the easier it is to cover mistakes. XD
If you don't know already, you can look up Mucha and art nouveau, which is a very similar style! <3
