Description
It had been Alma’s idea. With the little wyngling so upset about his favorite blanket being torn, she’d offered Atlas a solution.
He watched her work intently, ear nubs twitching with each little snip snip of the scissors as Alma cut away the excess fabric. He hadn’t realized how frayed the edges of the blanket had gotten, from constantly being carried around. He even noticed, for the first time, the tiny punctures from his teeth having grown in recently.
Atlas reached out impulsively to paw at it, but Alma shooed him away, cautioning him against sticking his hand into the path of her scissors.
She stopped cutting and set aside her scissors. Atlas perked up, watching as she inspected her work.
“Is it ready?” He asked, split tails quivering.
“Almost, love.” Alma responded and began folding. She beckoned him closer and Atlas practically vibrated with poorly contained excitement as he parked himself at her feet.
“You have to sit still, little one.” Alma chuckled, gently tilting his head back as she tied a neat little bow around his neck.
