In other news, PETA would have Sherlock's ass for stabbing a pig to death in the States; People for the Ethical Treatment on Animals, that is, not People Eating Tasty Animals. The fact that it was already dead was probably for the best. XD

Funny thought, but in the original story (and the show) the pig is already dead. Pigs have similar blood, bones, and flesh are similar to humans, so forensics and such use them for comparison experiments.
