The first mexican Monster High doll !!!
She's gonna be part of the new set "Scaris", a brand new line of dolls that will travel to a monster version of Paris.
I fell in love when I saw the new doll, she's so cute !
I guess she's the daughter of "La Catrina", it's almost obvious because of her skirt (Papel picado), her colors, (I don't know if her shoes also enter to this list because I can't see them very well due to the bad quality
), her baggage or suitcase (I don't know how is it called), her makeup...everything is so representative. Now a little bit of Mexican history:
José Guadalupe Posada was a famous painter, ilustrator and cartoonist, he created a funny way to see death called "La Catrina", a skeleton woman with a luxurious outfit. She represents mexican people that despised their origins just to be like European people. This symbol is very famous in Mexico, especially when we celebrate the day of the dead (Día de Muertos) on November 2nd.
I loved this doll because it reminds me that we have a lot of culture and also it makes me feel proud of being mexican.

It's nicely done, but have you seen Rsac3's interpretation? It has more detail representing the culture. I'm not trying to offend you at all. I like your drawing, but unfortunately I am a bit disappointed with her. I only like her dress.

I loved Rsac3's one too, but he used red, white and green (I guess because of Mexico's flag) and he used kind of a "Nochebuena" flower, changing the concept from "Day of the Dead" to "Christmas". The colors of "Day of the Dead" celebrations are mostly orange and purple and the representative flower is "Cempasúchitl". Maybe he and you can't understand what I say because you are not Mexican and you don't see the same things that I see. Thanks for your comment and I didn't get offended, it's just your point of view.
