After the PtQ series, I didn't want to stop drawing the Disney ladies. You could call this "Princess to Queen, Version 2" but I am going to categorize these as fanarts. I hope you like them!Belle (c) Disney

I struggle between two. My favorite since I was a child is Pocahontas. I connected to her so much (and still do). However, in terms of movie, I love Rapunzel and think she has a superior story. So I'd have to say Pocahontas, but Rapunzel as a close (very close) second!

Gaston may be a pumpess, arrogant, selfish fool, but he had a point about one thing. People who read too much become too smart, and when becoming too smart they lack the ability to listen. Even being smart, even too smart, can lead to arrogance.

I definitely agree that it can happen, and one of the only reasons that Belle isn't higher on my favorites list is because I believed she was a little arrogant. At least to me she seemed to be so. Also, considering this movie is based on "back-in-the-day France, it probably was so strange that she was reading. She was not normal at all and Gaston wanted to try and "fix her" by making her his wife and teaching her how to behave for the time period. However, that doesnt change the fact that i cant forgive him for being a jerk to Beast/Adam.

In my opinion, which is not to say that it is the end-all/be-all, I got the impression that Belle saw herself as better than others because she was better educated. She felt that she deserved more than, say, the maiden next door just because she had a book in her hand and knew how to read it. It made me feel as though she was on a different, more privileged level than everyone else when in reality she was an outcast for being the weird, awkward, and socially unresponsive villager.
