Well the petition to encourage Disney to allow Season 3 to happen has now over 10 000 supporters, so maybe it will have some impact, maybe not...lets hope for the best:

It is indeed a shame that WOY is being ended so soon, but in this way, it's perhaps better because we will get a more condensed tale than we would otherwise, like with Gravity Falls.
