Description This was almost a semester-long endeavor. Everything is completely hand-made. All made of brass and copper, with piercing, raising, acid-etching, and even brass granulation. Yes, the compass needle and sundial do actually work, so this piece can actually tell the time.

At the moment, sadly no. I made this in college and haven't had access to a metalshop since. I'm hoping to set up one in the near future. And when I do I will definitely be posting when I have items for sale. I've received many requests for this one Thank you for your interest by the way, it really means a lot!

This exact one, probably not. It's pretty priceless to me and I don't think I could part with it. But I'm hoping to get a studio/metalshop set up soon and plan on making them, because yes, I've gotten the question quite frequently. Which is truly an honor. So if/when that happens, I will be sure to post and probably let everyone know who's asked. Thank you so much for your interest!

*wantwantwant* I love the pieces around the dial and needle, but the whole execution of the piece is gorgeous, and I could definitely imagine that on a pirate vessel. ^^ The fact that it works only makes it better.

Nice doming and filigree on your brass bezel! Have you ever tried the Ferric Chloride/Citric Acid mix to etch your brass? Much easier than straight acid!
