Description
I started sketching this years ago, but couldn't really decide where I was going with it. Finally finished it. I always thought the Wizard of Oz was scary growing up. I still loved watching it, I just hid during the parts with those horrifying monkeys. When I watched it as an adult, I decided I was justified in my childhood fear since the monkeys carry Dorothy off by her hair, kicking and screaming. I've seen other children's classics turned into dark fantasy art, so here's my dark version of the Wizard of Oz. In my head, the characters have been turned away from the Emerald City and left in the wasteland where the city dumps all it's trash and pollution.
