I can't remember how many times have I tried to replicate Kubo Tite's drawing style, directly from the manga pages, and failed every time. Using the simplest strokes and only black color to portray every single feature with absolutely incredible efficiency is something only he can do. Only true manga artists can understand that man's genius, and I'm NOT one of them (clearly shown with this miserable attempt at fanart ).

There were many "holy-freaking-crap!" moments in Bleach, but when I came to this scene in chapter 542, I literally jumped from my chair, fangasming in ecstasy of awesomeness. That's when I decided that I'll attempt to redraw it, or die trying! And here I am now; using my failed style, mixing black marker and black crayon, I got it done in about a week with an hour or two of actual drawing per day.

On a side note, I'm probably the only person on dA who needs to actually DRAW his signature, and still manages to fail horribly at it, so please don't give me a hard time
