Description Project 3 for 2D Design #1. This one confused me a bit in the beginning; I thought there were limitations to the number of circles to use in one pattern and duplicate to super-unit.

Done entirely in Photoshop -- yup, digital -- because I thought I'd go mad doing this by hand, and I needed to conceptualize it quickly with layer properites, hence the 'addy' and 'subby' abbreviation for 'addition' and 'subtractive' layering. Don't know what that is? Look it up; it's very easy to understand.

I like the right one better than the left, and 'Rayman'l iked the left one better than the right. I printed both of them, because we were set to our opinions, and I wanted in-class critique upon both methods.

Which? The right or the left? I dunno how school-related artworks work in copyrights, but you're more than welcome to use as reference when you get your tatts (that is if the artist can replicate it )

It looks like something a badguy would have on some part of it's body.

That's trippy! I agree that laying out designs is much easier and quicker in photoshop than it is by hand. I'm always making little vector designs with that technique when I have a digital art block.
