...This is what I should see while playing as the female player in HGSS once I reach the top of Mt Silver....Unfortunately, I know that I won't see it. DAMN. IT.
I really wanted Leaf to appear in HeartGold and SoulSilver because...well, they're sequels to FireRed and LeafGreen, and damn it, she's the female choice in those games! Oh, well, there is still fandom.
Lol, that mountain is fail.

Honestly, I think it would make a lot of sense to have Leaf appear on Mt. Silver for all the players that choose the female trainer. Cause since Red is meant to represent the player from the past, Leaf would serve the same role well. Maybe one day...
At any rate, this art is amazing. The pose shows how serious Leaf is about battling, as well as the seasoned trainer, nay, the legend that she is. Simply Beautiful!

Hello! I know this is a very old image, but I love it and I had a request to make: I recently wrote a humorous story in which, after beating Red, the GSC/HGSS protagonists discover a path leading further up the mountain and discover a cabin where Leaf resides, and they end up challenging her. Its not serious, it doesn't include actual battle, but it's fun, and I was wondering if I could have permission to use this image as the cover art for the story? (full credit would be given of course)
If not, then that's fine, but I wanted to ask, and I want to reiterate that I love this piece regardless and am still heartbroken that Leaf didn't appear in HGSS (and her appearance as Green in the Let's Go! games is... a bit underwhelming if I'm being honest. V_V)

Red is epic but Leaf could use a little more love too. If Red and Blue were officially her secret admirers I woudn't be surprised, she has a really pretty design

It would have been a neat feature for her to replace Red on the mountain if you chose the female trainer. She should have also appeared in Black and White 2's Poke Tournament along with Red.

It gets worse - none of the females are remembered in most manga. I kind of ditched most CoroCoro manga long ago, though. You guys get our best stuff. All of the junk stays behind.

Which is sad because she does. She's just as cannon as Lyra is and people seem to freaking love Lyra despite her replacing the first playable female trainer.

To me Lyra looks like a girl trying to be a cute Mario and failing. I always had a hate towards Lyra, since she replaced the trainer that introduced me to everything Pokemon. To me it's like they were trying to replace my entire childhood with Lyra.

Oh well..different thoughts for different people I guess xD Yeah lots of people consider the two protagonists as siblings for some odd reason..(which kind of makes me cringe a little). So to avoid that feeling, I usually ship her with the Red with black hair and red eyes that has a lot of fangirls instead of the Red from FRLG XD

Sorry for barging in on this comment chain, but I just had to ask -- what exactly about Leaf and Red being twins is cringe-worthy? They're drawn to basically look like the same person, so it seems natural to suppose that if they both existed in the canon, they'd be siblings, no?

It's not so much I want them to be related, but have her play a role similar to May or Dawn where, if the male was chosen, she plays the role of one of the rivals. Though a sibling rivalry would be pretty funny to see. XD
She really isn't that bad, but she wasn't necessary and she could have been saved for a later game rather than replace another character's role in the series.
