For dA's Start With Love Poster Challenge, I decided I wanted to focus on self love. After enduring several traumatic events and relationships, I eventually was left in a place where I felt lost and alone. It took many years for me to come to terms with the mental toll these experiences took on me, until one day I realized "I" was worth fighting for. I deserved to treat myself well, to live how I wanted to, and to be free to be myself. This piece is for all those people like me, who have suffered and survived. Maybe it's not the most original concept, but when I saw BerryBlu's image, I just let the inspiration take me where it wanted.

Addendum: I forgot to mention that each of the dark hands represents a different person.
