Owwhhh! I'm always all in to dark lipsticks, no matter if dark red, dark purple or dark brown. So I'd always recommend: just go for it!
Gotta love my lipsticks dark. ^_^
(However, really light purple has it's perks, too, now and then... and then there's classy vintage red... yea, those are also cool, but anyways, dark lips to pale skin is just something special, I think ^^)
