She`s a fiction character by Anne Rice. She's supposed to be the mother of all vampires that lived in 3000 BC in ancient Egypt. Thanks fo your coment!!

Well, it's just I was thinking...if she's a myth her name has to translate into Egyptian and Akasha sounds pretty short for Queen of the Damned, ya know? For example: the story of Joseph and his coat his mommy made him, when he became second in command to the pharoh, his name was changed to Zafnakpeneah which means "his God speaks and lives"...Sorry, now I'm just being an encyclopedia, ignore that last statement. ^_^'

O no, Akasha doesn't mean Queen of Damned, it's just her name. Anne Rice calls her like that because he's the mother and queen of all vampires, the damned people. Don't forget she's pure fiction

Oh, okay. Too late, I already saw the movie - LAME! Maybe another reason it sucked is because Aliyah died during the filming process, which is also the reason for her very few appearances. Why are vampire/werewolf movies coming out so crappy!? The last good one, in my opinion, was Van Helsing and I have yet to see Blood and Chocolate - I hope it's good... Yeah, I collect fantasy books! ^^

Yes, I loved Van Helsing, I have the dvd. I think they are bad because they are so commercial or made for teenagers. And that book, Queen of Damned is difficult to adapt for a movie, so the movie is, something like, this 20 pages from here, this other 2 here, this 30 from the ende, o shit, Aliyah is dead, that pages to the garbage... unconnected scenes and a to much easy and quick end.

Hugh Jackman made one smexy werewolf! XD I don't even think they were made for teenagers. I think they were made just to get some dough and for anyone who's desperate for any kind of vampire/werewolf fix (vampire/werewolf drugs?! Ha haa!), no matter how bad! Sheesh, that's a foolish way to adapt from a book! There was exactly no effort put into the movie! You didn't know? Aliyah has been dead for years! Around the time JFK Jr died!

Currao sí está, y lo cierto es que me ha costado menos de lo que pensaba (excepto el collar que sí que dió la lata), mi favorita es el broche de escarabajo. Gracias!!
