Man, looks like Joe is a tough guy. Maybe Luke suddently remembered to wound the brothers similarly to what he did with the original gang.

Yeah, of course is Joe a very tough man ...he have to be...and he have to be smart, because he must be there for his brothers...not always an easy job...
To Luke: I guess he would never really hurt the Daltons...In one episode when he thought they were dead, he said something like: "Oh, now I will miss them a bit!"

That's right. Sometimes he goes willingly to catch them but other times he curses like crazy for this routine. Killing them would end this ''torture'' but, like all of us, he doesn't want to kill them, ehich is great. Can't live without the Daltons. They're some of the most important things in Lucky Luke's history. Don't you agree?

To see it from the fact that it changed a lot from the date when Lucky Luke and the Daltons were created by Morris (no cigarette for Luke haah!) they also made all a bit more friendly and not so rough for the kids...I remember the old movies were more harsh and the fact that Luke killed the cousins of the Daltons in the comic (which were really too see)...hmmm I guess it's a bit to hard for kids eyes...I think this is the reason why Luke looks for the Daltons with a protecting eye! But I like it...in which old western is there such a relationship between lawman and outlaw like this? It's cool! I also think it's not longer a "torture" for him...he got used to it...
Yeah they became very important through the time! I also could not live without them! They are in many movies, where they are the main villains and they are in the comics and series...at the end they are so famous/popular that they get their own show! I love Xilam for that, that they have done this!!! I would even say that the Daltons get a part of my own history now! I know them since my childhood and still love watching them! Heheh I agree with you in all points!!!
