Wendy knows that all superheros maintain their secret identity, especially from their loved ones. Where does this leave Kenny? He's a name without a face, an unidentified lover, just a orange bleeding parka who dies because of unknown forces and a self-sacrificing nature.

Sometimes it's a good thing that Kenny's a largely undeveloped character in the SP universe. It's easier to romanticize his life this way (but he does have his flaws- sex maniac, dirt poor, and addicted to drugs more than once- it's makes him quite the charming character lol).

As a fanfic, I could see this scene happening like this (yup, ready for some KennyxWendy fanfic goodness? Then keep on reading!):

She knew he didn’t want her to see his face.

She knew he wanted to kiss her, but something about seeing his face would ruin any chance of him returning to her. For some reason it was important for him to remain as Kenny. She bit her lip, thinking about her options. She could just leave. Or she could….

Her hand moved to his face. His eyes watched hers intently as her hand touched his cheek, sliding down to the collar of his jacket. She studied the fabric hiding the lower portion of his face with her fingers. Very little was separating him physically from her really, just one quick tug and his lips would be hers. But if there was one thing she learned about Kenny, it was that he valued his privacy, and so far it was not knowing him as well as she should have, or at least as well as a person neck deep in feelings of such strong emotions (Was it love? No, it couldn’t be. Love was for movies, this was reality.) should feel, that kept this relationship strong.

She frowned at the thought. It was so frustrating thinking about all the pros and cons of what she could or couldn’t do, and it was confusing the crap outta her. Her fingers were itching to remove his hood but her conscience was telling her no.

You know what? Screw scruples, just give in already!

Wendy’s fingers dug into the jacket only to be stopped by Kenny.

Okay, maybe that wasn’t such a good idea. Wendy thought as her grip was forced loose and she was again staring into those blue eyes again.

“What do you want, Kenny?” She whispered, and this time she closed her eyes as she lingered close. “Do you want to kiss me?” And this time when she said it she was breathless with anticipation.

Even with her eyes closed she could tell her face was inches apart from his. Her skin burned red with heat as she hand went back to undoing his jacket. His grip on her wrists tightened once more; she couldn’t see the look of restraint and suspicion on his face but she could feel his body tense at her actions.

A pause. No movement. Then, a sigh as Wendy gave up her grip on his jacket, and instead bowed her head against his.

Another pause. Then movement of his own doing. The sound of sliding fabric on skin. Wendy kept her eyes squeezed shut, and her body still, as Kenny unveiled himself.

What should I do now? Is it alright if I…

Soft lips pressed warmly onto hers, and she forgot her temptation to look. Wendy’s eyes were firmly pressed shut as she kissed Kenny back. As the kiss deepened, she realized she didn’t need to see to know his face. Her hands knew it, her mouth knew it, the skin on her cheeks knew it. What they had was trust. She trusted that it was for the best that she didn’t see his face.

She didn’t need to see true love to know it.
