Just for the fun of it I sketched a bit of fan art for the New Mexico Museum of Natural History and Science. I'd like to paint the dinosaurs on the logo in a realistic way and send it to them as a gift.This sketch may or may not be revised before the paint goes on. I've been trading e-mails with the museums display designer/illustrator and he's looking into which sauropod is actually featured in the logo. I thought it might be Camarasaurus, so I went ahead and drew it that way, but it could be Seismosaurus... we'll see.
The little guy is New Mexico's state fossil, Coelophysis.

Heh, that would be cool, but the original design belongs to the New Mexico Museum of Natural History. I think they may have had some enamel pins of this in the gift shop. :3

I used to visit that museum almost every time I went to New Mexico to see my paternal grandparents. Now that it has a new T. Rex exhibit, it's even more awesome than before.

:'D i just went to that museum for the first time a couple years ago, it's pretty awesome! and this is amazing @.@ i love the dark outlines... and the wrinkly skin! ahh i hope to see it finished!
