The following photo and description by my boyfriend say it all so much better than I ever could...
R.I.P. Bruce-face.
I'm considering offering up a batch of commissions where I draw other peoples characters as ferrets. Simply to help with the medical bills and the cremation. What do you guys think?

We still have his older brother, Waffle who was always them more energetic of the two. But he was recently diagnosed with insulinoma, so we're making sure to cherish our time with him as much we can. It's so sad that a critter with so much personality has such a temporary lifespan.

I have never had ferrets, but I've always liked them.
How long do they usually live?
I used to have three rats and I adored them, but their short live span was really devastating for me.

My dog died and I felt a piece of my soul leave with her. I know she's thinking about me wherever she is because I often times dream great and random dreams about her. Big hugs hon. and if I have spare mula I don't mind being ferretized. :>

Such a cute drawing. I like the shape of how you drew the animal, kind of a rounded body and you can tell the face is laying flat on the ground because of the puffy cheeks. And the pose seems simple yet so fitting, including the tail. Though I think the shading on the body is backwards, how it's darker on the top and lighter on the bottom where there's less light. And I always like how you put in a random texture in to add to the detailing.
I don't want to say "sorry for your loss" since you're probably getting barraged by stuff like that. But I will say I have sympathy towards you and your boyfriend. Yeah, it sucks losing a pet. I've seen my cat drown in its blood after getting hit by a car. *sigh* May God bless you two, and the finances of whoever if paying the bills and stuff.

That how Bruce used to lie on the floor, with his face all smished. He was quite round for a ferret. As far as the drawing goes, it actually doesn't have any shading. That's just the coloration of my character cause she's dark on top and light on the bottom. But I see what you mean, it IS kinda creating an optical illusion. o_O
Ugh, I can't even imagine how traumatizing that must have been for you to witness what happened to your cat. I hope you've been able to find peace with your memories since then.
